Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research. What is examined in this study is the activeness of learning in the application of learning with the Problem Based Learning model and improving student learning outcomes during the learning process. This study uses observation to determine the learning process of the Problem Based Learning model and tests to determine student learning outcomes. From the results of this study it was found that: (1) The learning process using the Peoblem Based Learning model is as follows: Stage 1: Orientation, Stage 2: Presentation, Stage 3: Structured Exercise, Stage 4: Guided Exercise, Stage 5: Independent Exercise. The increase is as follows: In the initial conditions, the learning activity of students is low 75%, moderate 15% and high 10%. In the first cycle, students' learning activity was low at 18%, moderate at 49% and high at 33%. In the second cycle, students' learning activity was low at 0%, moderate at 21% and high at 79%. In the initial conditions, there were 63% of students who had not finished learning outcomes, 37% of students who had completed them. In the first cycle, there are 58% of students who have not completed, 42% of students who have completed. In the second cycle, there are 0% of students who have not completed, and 100% of students who have completed. Thus, up to the second cycle, students whose learning outcomes were completed reached more than 100%.
